Degradation Characteristics of Environment-Friendly Bamboo Fiber Lunch Box Buried in the Soil

The research on the development of lunch boxes made clean, environment-friendly, and naturally degradable plant fibers has attracted enormous attention. A bamboo fiber box prepared by clean efficient steam explosion method advantages good stiffness, water oil resistance, easy degradation. purpose this study was to investigate degradation behavior environment-friendly under indoor soil burial, as represented changes in physical properties, mechanical strength, chemical components, morphological structure, so on. results showed that: with extension burial time, weight loss increased rapidly from slowly quickly; were completely degraded 70th day; microorganisms first decomposed tapioca starch, hemicellulose, cellulose box, finally lignin; residual debris further into CO2, H2O, inorganic salts. In short, process mainly included following stages: stage I: increase apparent roughness, generation microcracks, rapid loss, breakdown starch hemicellulose; II: slow rate fragmentation, decay decomposition; III: decomposition lignin, complete debris, integration soil.
